Four Femmes/Four Themes: A Watercolor Exhibit
May 23 thru July 12
Featuring the watercolor works of Pat Garofolo, Yvonne Williams, Martha Gillom & Juli Eflin
Meet the artists: Sunday, June 3 from  2 - 4 p.m

The CAC's Balentine Gallery is now aglow with vivid watercolor paintings by Indiana artists Pat Garofolo, Yvonne Williams, Martha Gillom
and Juli Eflin. As their title suggstions, "Four Femmes/Four Themes", each artist has her own style and way of seeing the world. Their
work ranges from busy street scenes to quiet cafes, graceful nudes to sweeping vistas. The Four Femmes met at a watercolor class and
forged an immediate friendship. They have continued to meet, inside their studio and el fresco, to share ideas, encouragment and
support. Their work is featured in many private collections and businesses.
Their themes for this exhibit are:

Looking at “Interior Spaces,” by Juli Eflin;
Paintings “On the Edge,” by Pat Garofolo;
Capturing “Where Light Falls,” by Martha Gillom;
Paintings of “Town & Country,” by Yvonne Williams.

The Four Femmes have each appeared in several juried and invitational exhibits in various Indiana venues including Muncie, Union City,
New Castle, and Anderson.  Their works appear in private collections and in commercial locations.  All are members of the Watercolor
Society of Indiana. Their fine framed works, along with matted pieces, greeting & notecards, are offered for sale in the gallery.

Welcome home! Images of Wells County
July 16 thru August 31
Invitational exhibit: open call to artists
Artist's gallery party: Sunday, July 29 at 6 p.m., one hour prior to the Kehoe Park concert featuring the Schmaltzentubers

The CAC is hosting an invitational exhibit entitled, "Welcome Home! Images of Wells County".

Mention Wells County and many images come to mind: the main street bridge, the Wabash River, the fire tower at Ouabache State
Park, Kunkel Lake, the fields, the woods, quiet neighborhoods, Bluffton Free Street Fair, the stately courthouse clock.

Because the Wells County area is so rich in imagery,  the Creative Arts Council is excited to feature this exhibit to hang in the
Balentine Gallery July 16 through August 30.
Many items will be offered for sale and would make a very personal focal point for
any home or business.

ARTIST INFORMATION: Each artist may enter one work free of charge. Additional entries are $5 each (limit five). Delivery dates are Wednesday, July 11
and Thursday, 12, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. or by appointment.
Works must be submitted by the artists who created them, whether or not they currently
reside in Wells County.
To receive an entry form, or to suggest an artist to be contacted, interested persons may stop by the CAC office or contact us via

It is preferable that frames have picture wires for hanging, not saw edge hangers. In the adjoining boardroom,
built-in shelving is available to display small/medium flat or 3-D works.
Pedestals for larger 3-D works must be provided by the artist.
Title
cards are provided by the artist. You may use your own creativity, but there are certain requirements. Each work is to be titled. Include the

 18pt.) is required for the visually impaired.
